The Church Bar are looking for talented, dynamic chefs at all levels to join and enhance our kitchen team and help towards delivering an excellent guest experience. Successful candidates will have previous section responsibility in a recognised establishment where they have proven their ability through internal promotion. Aptitude, creativity and team spirit are essential qualities in the candidates we seek  

  

Responsibilities:

·       Responsibility for running a specific section of the kitchen 

·       Occasional responsibility for opening and closing down at shift beginning and end 

·       Comply with all HACCP requirements 

·       Comply with all H&S requirements. 

·       Manage and train any commis chef or KP that are working with you 

·       Assist head chef and sous chef in developing new dishes and menus 

·       Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins 

 

Requirements:

·       Working experience as a chef 

·       Working in a fast pace environment 

·       Specialised experience with desserts or pastries would be a bonus 

·       Positive attitude and excellent communication skills 

·       Proven ability to keep the kitchen organised, stocked and clean and achieve targets 

·       Excellent spoken English is essential

Kitchen Porter Full/Part-time: 

 

 

The Church is currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter in a fulltime and part time position. This is a permanent full-time role for immediate start. 

  

Responsibilities:

·       Washing all cookware, utensils, cutlery etc. in a timely manner and ensuring that all items are cleaned and ready for the next shift. 

·       Keeping all kitchen work spaces, floors, shelving, and counter tops at a high level of cleanliness and sanitization. 

·       Keeping food storage areas, fridges and dry stores clean and organized, following HACCP guidelines and a regular cleaning schedule. 

·       Using dishwashing machinery and cleaning chemicals correctly and in line with training. 

·       Food Preparation including chopping vegetables or helping chefs set up the kitchen for the following day. 

·       Wearing appropriate clothing/footwear and adhering to high standards of personal hygiene. 

  

Requirements:

·       Cleanliness/Organisation is essential in this role 

·       Experience working in a physically demanding environment 

·       Excellent timekeeping is a key requirement 

·       Effective teamwork and communication skills is essential 

·       Minimum 1 year experience

Experienced Bar staff Full/Part-time:

 

Min 3 years experience 

 

Rate of pay €13-16 depending on experience.

Floor staff: 

  

  

We are recruiting both Full and Part-time floor staff for July onwards. Experience desired but not essential as full training is given. 

We are looking for friendly people to join our team. Work in one of the most unique buildings in the world with a fantastic team of people within a great working environment.

Hours are varied depending on full or part-time but night work and weekends are part of the job requirements. 

We have positions available for those going back to full-time education after the summer and want to then work part-time or we have positions that will enable you to progress through the business into management positions.
