Partnership of the Month: GPO Witness History

Want to learn about modern Irish history and the 1916 Easter uprising? Then head on down to GPO Witness History for an immersive and interactive museum exhibit. Located on O’Connell street, the new exhibits within the GPO building are crafted with interesting touch screens, intimate portraits, and a mix of audio and visual booths. After your visit, the gift shop and cafe are open to all and promise a beautiful overlook of the historic courtyard. A sculpture titled “They are of us all” commemorates the 40 children who died during the events of the uprising.

Award winning GPO Witness History visitor centre is one of the main things to see and do in Dublin. It is an immersive, interactive and engaging experience of modern Irish history from the late 19th century to modern times with particular emphasis on  the 1916 Easter Rising, the Irish War of Independence, the Irish Civil War and the peace process in Northern Ireland.
